Writing in Bits

The month of November is the National Novel Writing Month. It is funny, but 2008 is the 10th year and I’m just getting to hear about it. Anyway, I decided to join in. I have always wanted to write a novel, scratch that – novels! But I’m one of those people who starts, goes more than half way and then loses interest. That is why NaNoWriMo is good for me; I have to write a bit of the novel each day. Hmm. So anyway, this was my first attempt – The story of Halima, a foundling. I have absolutely no idea how the story is going to go; I don’t even have my characters settled or anything but this should be fun.

What I want to write is a romance novel and at the same time I want to show what has become a regular occurrence where I live. So for me, this is a journey and the fun is mostly in the trip not necessarily in the destination. So sit tight and enjoy the ride!
